Jailbreak Tweaks: PocketMode and PasswordPilot

PocketMode

How many times you have been bothered because you missed a very important call in your iPhone? We have to admit that by default, iPhone 4’s ringtone is not too loud to be heard from a distance, not even inside your pocket. Sometimes we wish that the ringtone of the world’s most favorite smartphone was louder enough to heard inside a bag or a pocket, we should have not missed that very important call. This is where the jailbreak community steps in, to cover the hole that Apple has not included (or maybe lacks) in their iOS.

Introducing ‘PocketMode,’ a jailbreak tweak that will increase the ring and SMS volume of your iPhone 4 until you finally notice that somebody is trying to call you. Not just a simple tweak, as some other would say, since PocketMode will also detect when you’ve removed your iPhone 4 where it was and readjust the volume accordingly. This is because PocketMode uses your iPhone’s ambient light sensor to detect when it is in dark surroundings, which means usually inside your pocket or bag.

What if it’s night time? Well, the developer also thought about that problem and added a “night mode” option which allows you to set a time to disable the app.

PocketMode is available in Cydia for $1.49. Trust me, it’s worth the price.

PasswordPilot

PasswordPilot is a simple jailbreak tweak that is available for free in Cydia. As its name suggest, it will automatically enter your App Store password when you buy/download applications in the App Store. No need to enter your password every time you buy an app. Just go to Settings after you have installed PasswordPilot and it saves your password (but encrypted for your security).

For your own security, never let anyone use your iPhone without your presence because they too can immediately buy an app in the App Store.
