Report: iPhone 5 Cases found “Everywhere” in China
For the first time in the history of iPhone, the cases of iPhone have been making more news, garnering more attention, and firing rumors more than their phones. Just a few days back, iPhone cases were in the news with the leak of purported iPhone 5 case schematics. Then the cases were in the news again, this time with the actual pictures of supposed iPhone 5 cases.
Now the iPhone 5 cases are again in the news. This time around it is because the iPhone 5 cases are apparently ‘everywhere’, MIC Gadget reported. The company’s website has a gallery full of the new iPhone 5 case designs and these cases seem to be no different in design than the cases that we have come across so far.
This flooding of Chinese markets with the phone cases seem to suggest only one thing, that these Chinese case manufactures are confident that the design of the upcoming iPhone 5 will be the one that has been leaked. That could be the only reason for the mass production of the cases. Also, these manufacturers gain huge incentives if the cases are ready in advance before the release of the iPhone.
During the speculative days before the launch of iPad 2, it was the iPad 2 covers that were leaked first and three Chinese were prosecuted and sentenced to prison in China for leaking iPad 2 case designs before it’s launch. The leaked design turned out to be correct. In fact, these leaks have a uncanny reputation to be accurate. Previously, leaks of iPhone 3G and before that the 5th and 6th generation iPod Nano cases turned out to be true.
