Trover for iPhone
If you are a photographer and want to get popular as one of those photographers, then here is an app for your iPhone which will help you do just that. Trover is a photo sharing and discovery app which lets you share all the images that you have taken off your camera and those that are already stored on the phone, with all your friends on Facebook and followers on Twitter. But not just this, you can upload your images to the Trover server. This will let just any Trover user anywhere in the world, see your image and appreciate it.
When you run Trover on your iPhone, you’ll see four tabs at the bottom of the app. The tab says Nearby. This lets you see all the photos which are uploaded from a geographical location near you. You can scroll down through the growing list, but the distance from your current location increases with each scroll.
The second tab is the Feed tab. This tab just aggregates all the images being uploaded to the service from all the users from around the world. So this is like seeing a live list of online photos from around the world.
The plus tab in the center lets you upload an image to the service. This will give you two options. You can either take an image right then from your phone, or you can select an image already on your gallery to upload.
Next is the Featured tab. One feature on the Trover app is that you can mark a Thanks for each photo that has been uploaded to the service. This is something like liking on Facebook and hitting the +1 button on Google+, and quite obviously, the best photos get a lot of thanks. The Featured tab features such popular images with the most number of thanks to them, in the descending order.
The last one is the Me tab. This will let you:
- See your profile
- See notifications and comments from other users
- Invite or Search your friends to join Trover via Email, Facebook or Twitter
- See followers and those you are following
