iPhone 4S battery issue

If you have bought a new iPhone 4S and are finding problems with the batter backup on the phone, do not be alarmed. This is because there are over another 100,000 people who are having the same problem. The issue has become so widespread that it has become a whole new thread of over a hundred thousand users on the official Apple support forum.

And now, it looks like Apple has started acknowledging the issue. Apple usually collects the info required from the users and then sorts it out quickly. But this story is a bit different. The Cupertino based tech giant has not yet officially commented on the issue, but still, it looks like the engineers have started their work on this.

The Next Web says that Apple is contacting customers regarding this to take inputs from them on the issue. The Guardian also says that an Apple engineer has contacted at least on iPhone 4S customer who had posted a rant complaint on the issue on his iPhone 4S.

“I then got a call from a senior [Apple] engineer who said he had read my post and was ‘reaching out’ to users for data and admitted this was an issue (and that they aren’t close to finding a fix!) and asked lots of questions about my usage and then asked if he could install the file below and that he would call back the day after to retrieve the info. I extracted the file from my Mac after a sync and emailed it to him. He was incredibly helpful and apologetic in the typical Apple way!”

Apple will surely fix the issue in time. But for now, there has been a concept that has been making rounds on the internet saying that the issue could be because of the time zone setting. I dont know to what extent that is correct. But I will keep you updated.
