SemiTether jailbreak updated to version 0.9.1
The SemiTether jailreak team has updated the jailbreak solution to make it more stable. The version now is v0.9.1. If you have used the earlier versions of the jailbreak tool, you would know that it was not the most stable jailbreak tool available, but it certainly did quite an awesome job.
This time, the team has joined with Saurik now to add new features to the tool. The new tool is the mobile substrate which has allowed the team to remove the daemon patch and the restarting issue that has been in the tool for quite some time.
Mobile substrate now does all of the heavy lifting when it comes to the SemiTether. There’s even an option to patch Safari to work in non-jailbreak mode now. Perhaps most importantly, the new version of SemiTether will protect your iOS 5 Notification Center plugin. Along with that much needed feature, the team also says that they are looking into patching Mail, and working with the developers of MyWi and AppSync.
That explains a lot of things, dont you think so? The summary of the changes in the new version is put like this:
