Best Buy out of iPad 2 stocks, but plenty of Android tablets remain untouched

iPad 2 sold out on Best Buy during holidays

The Black Friday shopping madness is finally over and things are getting back to being fairly normal. Stores have come back to their usual price ranges and have removed the holiday season price tags. Also, they are preparing reports of how their promotion has been and how many units of what product they have sold this season.

Best Buy is what we are going to see about today. Best Buy had given almost a $50 discount of the iPad 2, and that will not go unnoticed. People are already crazy about the iPad, and when you are giving such a discount to everyone, who would not want to buy it, right? So, if you check the Best Buy online store now, you can not find the iPad 2′s to be in stock. Such has been the mad rush till yesterday, when the Thanksgiving sales have also been ended.

Not just online stores of Best Buy, but even physical stores were ripped off their iPad 2 inventory soon after the sales started, they were completely out of stock.

It’s a similar story in the company’s physical retail stores, too. Electronista got on the phone to a handful of local Best Buy stores and were told that they too are out of iPad 2 stock. We’d call that a pretty successful promotion, to be honest.

But, this has not been the case with the Android tablets the store offers, but online and at its physical stores. There are supposed to be a lot of Samsung Galaxy Tabs still in the store rooms and the inventory rooms of the store. Does this tell you something?

This tells that the reports from analysts in the recent past in which they said that the iPad 2 is losing its charm is not entirely true. But again, if you take off $45 from an iPad 2′s cost, who wouldn’t be tempted?
