Today’s tech blogosphere is completely filled with the praises of the newly announced and awesomely featured Samsung Galaxy S III. It is for sure worth all the mentions on the internet, but let us not completely stick to the only phone, there are other phones in the news, waiting to get a bit of the limelight. So let us now take a look at Samsung SGH-i667 smartphone, code named Mandel.
The phone, called the Mandel, is a Windows Phone 7.5 device. The leak has not got a lot of details on the phone, but only a couple of things which give a basic idea of what we can expect from this device. To begin with, you can have a look at the photo and decide what it is like. It is a white colored phone, and a Windows Phone 7.5 device.
This is also the phone which has been recently pass through the thorough testing hands of the FCC. That could mean that we will be able to see this phone on the showroom shelves pretty soon. There is also the news that the Mandel had passes the FCC test with AT&T band on it. This could mean that Windows Phone lovers on AT&T’s network are going to get a new treat, a new member to the lineup.
But there is one thing which you might not like about this device. Another screenshot of the software with the Zune software running shows that the device has only 8 GB of storage on it. So this might not be really a premium offering and might just be a mid range phone for the Windows Phone lovers who want a taste of Samsung.
In any case, it is good to know that Samsung is coming back to Windows Phone and will work on making Windows Phone also better along with Android. But is this in any way going to help Microsoft increase its profit? We have to see.
