Ptch For iOS Is Instagram Meets iMovie Social App
Ptch for iOS is social media sharing app which is based on the same principle that apps such as Socialcam and Viddy have or for that matter, even Instagram. You make videos, share it with friends with the help of social media sites like Facebook and Google+, get likes and comments and likes, so on and so forth.
However, once you start using Ptch, start to feel the difference. Firstly, the look and feel of the app is pleasing and the app is well designed with a few extra features that you do not find in some of the other similar apps.
You start by selecting videos and photos that you want to share. Here, you are not restricted to the camera roll and stored videos or your Facebook and Twitter account. Ptch lets you extract videos from other third party apps such as Instagram, Viddy, Tumblr and a few more. It even lets you use the videos and photos that your friends have uploaded. Once all the media is in place, you can get ahead with creating your own mini video clip. Add captions, add “styles”, similar to the filters from Instagram, but here it is more like themes, cut, crop, add music and your 60 seconds mini video clip (that’s the time limit) is ready to be shared with the world. The video editing capabilities, understandably, do not come to level of iMovie but it will get your job done, beautifully, every time. I’ll also add, the developer is an ex-Dreamworks employee and many tech and features he learned from his time in Dreamworks has been incorporated in Ptch.
