Futuremark Android

Futuremark created 3DMark and PCMark – for 10 years they have been standards in the PC zone. They are used by all websites / blogs / tech magazines worldwide. Now, they are preparing a comprehensive benchmark test which will shed light on the capabilities of Android mobile and tablets.

The launch of this product would take place in the second half of 2012. The company received support from Acer, Intel, Qualcomm and SinTel-Optus. Qualcomm’s support seems to have the greatest importance regarding their experience in the field of processors and GPUs for mobile phones and tablets with Google’s mobile operating system.

3DMark for Android will measure the performance based on: GPU and CPU rendering and physical tests via standard OpenGL ES2.0. In 2013, 3DMark for Windows will make its appearance. The relevance of the 3DMark test for Android will exceed what we currently have: Quadrant, Vellamo, NenaMark 1, NenaMark 2, CF-Bench, AnTuTu Benchmark, etc..

In it’s development were also involved Microsoft, NVIDIA, Samsung and AMD. Notice how much attention is enjoyed by a benchmark test, the need to make a hierarchy based on the actual performance, something to get out to the public and brand that has the most advanced product or a certain percentage over the previous one in the series.
