Takashi Okuda- Sharp

Takashi Okuda is the new CEO of Sharp and said that the screen supply for the new iPhone / iPhone 5 will begin in August 2012, the Apple smartphone is expected to be launched on the market in late September / early October. The launch event / Apple conference will be held on September 12, the information came from many sources, some of them very reliable.

The Sharp CEO didn’t want to say the exact launch date. Apple is working in the provision of displays for the iPhone also with LG Display Co Ltd and Display Inc. Japan. It is said that the iPhone screen would be about 4 inches from the 3.5 inches which was kept on the iPhone 3Gs, 4 and 4S. This is a response to Android phones which reached, in the case of Galaxy S III, to 4.8 inch.

Reuters quotes an anonymous source who told them that the display would have 4 inches and it would be with 30% bigger then the current display on the iPhone 4S. The new iPhone would be even thinner than 4 and 4S with a technology called in-cell panels that allow touch integration and removing the layer overlapped on the display as the current iPhone generation.

Certainly the new iPhone will enjoy a huge buzz and it will have a great impact in Q4 2012at the level of smartphones, it will come in time – just before the holidays when everyone is preparing to buy. This is a genius strategy, don’t you agree?
